Important Program Guide Delivery and Registration Information

The 2020 Spring Program Guide will be delivered to Naperville Park District resident mailboxes February 26-29. The virtual version of this publication is available on our website beginning Monday, February 24.

Program guides also may be picked up at our facilities:

Slidersz Girls’ Softball registration for Grades 3-9 opened January 28 for residents and January 30 for others. You may register now for any remaining spots!
Monday, March 2                  Resident online, phone-in and walk-in registration for all programs other than PreK T-Ball, T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch/Kid Pitch and Slidersz Girls’ Coach Pitch for Grades 1-2 begins at 8:30 a.m.
Thursday, March 5                Nonresident online, phone-in and walk-in registration for all programs other than PreK T-Ball, T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch/Kid Pitch and Slidersz Girls’ Coach Pitch for Grades 1-2 begins at 8:30 a.m.

Tuesday, March 10               
Resident online registration begins at noon.
Thursday, March 12              Resident and nonresident phone-in, nonresident online and walk-in registration begins at noon.

Registration location, where you can see the available plots, is at the front desk on the second floor of the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave. Registrations are not accepted at the Administration Building.
Monday, March 16                Resident walk-in registration begins at 8:30 a.m. only at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 West Jackson Avenue.
Thursday, March 19              Nonresident walk-in and second plot registration begin at 8:30 a.m. only at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 West Jackson Avenue.

Dropped off registration forms will be accepted from the onset of delivery of the program guide. These forms will be processed concurrently with online registration in the order they were received.

To ensure that you continue to receive important program notifications such as program changes, cancellation information or waitlist opportunities via e-mail or phone, please keep your contact information current.

If you need to change your e-mail address or phone number, log in to your account, go to My Account and the Account Settings menu and choose Change Account Address or Personal Information

You also can call us at 630-848-5000 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and speak with a Community Relations Associate.

A Customer Account with a login and password is needed before registering for any programs using the online registration system at

1. From the home page, click on the Online Registration Button.

  1. Select “Create an Account” and follow the steps. Your account is for your immediate family members residing at the same address. A family account may have a maximum of two members 24 and older and any dependent children under the age of 24. Note: If you are registering a child for an activity, please create an account for an adult first.
  2. You will have the opportunity to add family members as you complete the process. You will automatically receive an e-mail confirming your account has been approved.

    Individuals who provide false information for program registrations, memberships or admittance to District facilities will be removed from the program of facility without a refund.

On Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 Naperville Park District officials heard the good news for which they have been waiting for many months: the District has achieved national accreditation through the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA).

The decision was announced at the NRPA national conference in Atlanta following a formal hearing before the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA).

Naperville is only the second park district in Illinois to earn this distinction and the 104th nationally accredited agency in the nation; there are more than 10,000 recreation agencies in the United States. The Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies accredits a handful of park agencies each year that have completed a multi-step process involving a self-review by the agency, a site visit, and an evaluation and formal report by the Commission.

“We are extremely proud to bring this honor to Naperville,” said Park District Executive Director Ray McGury. “It’s an affirmation of our high standards and also an encouragement to continue bringing high quality recreation and parks experiences to our community.”

The Park District’s accreditation process began approximately one year ago and included an extensive self-evaluation by staff and a 5-day visit from CAPRA reviewers this past July. Maintaining the accreditation requires annual reports and 5- and 10-year reviews.

Park District staff members noted that the CAPRA process has helped them see the big picture, focus on long term goals and plans, review plans more regularly, organize documents so that they are accessible and useable, and collaborate more effectively with other departments and outside organizations.
