Naperville Park District began a field hockey program for middle school students in 2015 to help grow the sport and prepare players for high school level play, which had just begun in Naperville with a team at Naperville North High School.
We recently learned that Naperville North’s field hockey team not only competed in the Illinois High School Field Hockey Association (IHSFHA) 2019 Sectionals for the first time, but also received two sportsmanship awards, and the varsity goalie, Catie Fleming was named to the All State Second Team/All Conference/All Academic.
Congratulations, Naperville North Girls Field Hockey Team!
“We are so grateful to the Park District for believing in us and our sport,” said Coach Monica Lodge. “Through our partnership this has all been possible, bringing so much opportunity and possibilities to so many amazing young women!”
Naperville Park District will offer two field hockey programs in 2020 in partnership with RISE Field Hockey: a spring program for ages 8-17 and a fall program for ages 5-14. Look for these programs in our Spring and Autumn Program Guides.
