Upcoming Improvements/Construction
The first phase of invasive removal took place in summer 2023 with the removal of Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum). Another round of Teasel removal is scheduled for fall. Woody invasive removal, including Sandbar Willows (Salix exigua), Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica), and Honeysuckle (Lonicera maacki) is scheduled for winter. All areas will be restored with a seed mixture of native plants to promote a healthy, diverse ecosystem.
