
There is a snake in this photo - it's a small baby watersnake!
- During our June camps we found two baby water snakes.
- This one was in McDonald Creek, hunting small fish (see the video below), and the other one was in the river.
- People often mistake our local watersnakes for venomous Copperheads or Cottonmouths.
- Neither of these venomous snakes are found in northeastern Illinois. But if you head further south in llinois you will find them there.
