Fitness membership includes unlimited access to Fort Hill Fitness, group exercise classes, track and open gyms. Members receive reduced rates on the Fort Childcare, personal training and premier fitness classes.

Membership Type and Fees

Prices are subject to change. We reserve the right to change or cancel membership options. Occasional facility closures due to preventative maintenance are figured into the membership fee schedule; therefore no adjustments will be made to memberships for closures.

Fort Hill Fitness

Individual Member must be a minimum of 15 years of age.
Additional Member must be a minimum of 15 years of age and reside in the same household as the individual member. No more than two members ages 24 and older may be on the membership (this includes the individual and additional members). An additional member can only be added to an Individual Membership.
Family Membership Can only contain two members 24 and older, and any dependent children 15-23 years of age living in the same household.
Senior Member must be a minimum of 60 years of age.
Student Member must be 15 – 23 years of age and provide full-time status.

Military Member an individual actively enlisted, who can provide proof, in a branch of the armed forces. An additional member may be added, the active Military personal must be the primary member.

How to Purchase a Membership

Memberships are on-sale now and must be purchased in-person at the Fort Hill Activity Center.

Daily Fitness Guest Passes
Resident - $10
Nonresident - $15

Daily fitness passes are for fitness center access only.  Track, group exercise and open gym passes are sold seperately. 

Enrollment Fee
Enrollment fees are for new members or memberships who have been inactive for more than 60 days. Enrollment fees are non-refundable and the maximum enrollment fee per household is $129, while all members remain active per membership year. If a new member is adding on to an existing membership the enrollment fee will be based on age; $69 for ages 24 and up, $39 ages 15-23 and $39 ages 60 and older. Enrollment fees must be paid in full at the time of sign-up.

EFT- Payment Plan Option
If you chose the payment plan option Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), your first month’s payment will be prorated from the date of sign-up to the first monthly billing and will due at the time of purchase. Payment plans are required to have an automatic withdrawal from a checking, savings or credit card to qualify. Memberships will remain active until a 10-day written notice of cancellation has been made to the Naperville Park District. Please contact the main desk for complete details on membership types.

Prime Memberships
Prime Memberships are a well- being benefit offered by many companies as part of their insurance. Prime members are 18 years of age and older. They can activate their prime benefit through their health insurance, online or by phone. There is a monthly cost assocaiated with your insurance company, please check with your insurance company for details. Prime Members can come into the Fort Hill Activity Center and sign up for the prime membership.

Cancelling Your Membership
You may cancel your membership at any time with a 10-day written notice of cancellation. As a reminder, if your membership lapses more than 60 days you may be required to pay a new enrollment fee. Please inquire at the main desk for membership cancellations.

Leave of Absence
Fitness members may take a leave of absence for a minimum of one month up to a maximum of four months. Medical leaves may be taken for a longer period of time and will require a written doctor's release upon returning. Members are allowed one leave of absence per 12 months. Please visit the Fort Hill main desk for more information and the leave of absence form.

Fitness Guidelines

Please abide by the following guidelines so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable workout.

  • Please read through the Fort Hill Fitness COVID-19 Participation Guidelines for Programs and Facilities 
  • Always consult a healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program
  • All members, guests and visitors must check in at the Main Service Desk upon arrival
  • Appropriate fitness attire and footwear must be worn in the fitness center at all times. Shirts must be worn at all times. No open-toed shoes, open-backed shoes, boots, sandals, or casual shoes are allowed.
  • During inclement weather, members should change shoes prior to using the fitness center.
  • Observe proper personal hygiene by showering regularly, wearing clean clothing and using deodorant. Refrain from wearing strong cologne or perfume while in the facility, as breathing complications can occur.
  • Store all your personal belongings in a locker. Items are not to be stored on the fitness center floor or with staff at the fitness desk. The Naperville Park District is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
  • We encourage the reduction of waste by asking members to use refillable water bottles in place of disposable water bottles and sports drinks.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the fitness center, except for capped water bottles.
  • Fort Hill Fitness Center users are asked to show respect to all participants, staff and equipment.
    • Return weights and equipment to proper location after use.
    • Wipe down equipment after each use; cleaning materials are available on the fitness floor.
    • Resistance machines should only be used for their intended purposes.
    • Allow other participants to “work in” while you are resting between sets.
    • No chalk or chains are allowed in the fitness center.
    • Refrain from dropping, throwing, banging weights or “dumping weights”.
    • Weight collars are required when using barbells.
    • No stepping or standing on benches, please use provided plyometric boxes within the fitness center.
    • Do not reserve or monopolize equipment.
    • Slow down, clear and reset the cardio machines for the next user.
    • Disrupting or interfering with the workout of another member is not allowed. Respect the rights of others by using courteous and appropriate behavior. Profanity will not be tolerated.
    • No excessive grunting or noises.
    • No video or photography allowed in the fitness center, group exercise classes or track without a permit.
    • No personal shall bring or cause to be brought onto District Property any class, play class, day camp, group or individual lessons or similar organized group activity of any kind unless a permit allowing such an activity has first been obtained from the District.
    • The distribution of goods or services, including without limitation the giving of instruction or lessons for a fee, is prohibited without prior written approval from the District.
  • Out of respect for your fellow members, we ask you to please turn off your phone (or keep on vibrate) while on the fitness center floor. Please complete all calls outside the fitness center area.
  • Hours, fees and guidelines are subject to change.
