Meet Our Trainer: Jim O'Connell

Jim is a NASM certified personal trainer and also has his BS in Physical Education and Health Education.  Jim started his health and fitness career at the Kroehler Family YMCA in 2009.  For five years, he taught group exercise classes and personal trained a wide range of clientele.  He has a wide range of coaching experience in addition to his health and fitness background.  Jim was formerly the cross country coach and head coach of the boys track and field team at Naperville North High School.  He currently teaches physical education at Freedom Middle School in Berwyn.  Jim loves incorporating every piece of fitness equipment available and strives to provide the best functional workouts for his clients.

Jim O’Connell’s trainer tip: When starting a Fitness program, it's easy to lose focus and desire. My biggest advice to someone starting an exercise program would be to start with a measurable and realistic goals. Have short term and long term goals. A reminder of why you're doing this goes a long way!
