Lobbying Associations
The Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners’ Legislative Committee monitors legislation at the local, state and federal levels to stay abreast of issues that may affect the Park District. The District is a dues-paying member of the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) which conduct legislative advocacy initiatives primarily at the state level. Additionally the District is a member of the National Park and Recreation Association, which advocates for national park and recreation issues at the federal level.
Approximately 4% of the IAPD member agency dues supported legislative advocacy in 2012. The Naperville Park District’s dues to IAPD and NRPA for lobbying for the past five years are as follows:
