South Maintenance Facility
Although the South Maintenance Facility was designed and built to increase operational efficiencies for the Park District, it also offers a convenient, full-service alternate registration location for our customers. Located off of Book Road, south of 95th Street, this facility will be open to the public Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Customers will be able to access the following services with the assistance of onsite staff:
- Program registration
- Set up of a new Park District account
- Purchase Centennial Beach memberships
- Obtain Park District I.D. cards
- Rent a Park District facility
- Pay parking violations
- Purchase student parking permits
- Purchase special event tickets
Additionally, the building showcases several environmentally sustainable features as the first planned, soon-to-be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified facility in Naperville. Currently, the Park District is seeking the official certification, which takes several months to complete.
Energy-efficient and green features include: a reflective roof, increased insulation, drought-tolerant landscaping, lighting controls, natural lighting, efficient HVAC systems, bioswales, sun shades and window glazing.
The building was supported through a $100,000 grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation for the energy-efficient design and commissioning of the facility.
