Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower

What is a Carillon?
A carillon is a musical instrument composed of a minimum of 23 bells played from a keyboard using fists and feet.

About the Millennium Carillon
The purpose of the Carillon was to create a permanent, interactive commemorative gift to mark the arrival of the new millennium. Thanks to generous community donations and volunteer efforts, Phase I of the Carillon project was dedicated in June 2000. After undergoing some additional construction, the Millennium Carillon was officially opened to the public at a ceremony on July 29, 2007.

2008 Moser Tower & Carillon tour hours of operations:
The Carillon and Visitor Center will be open for tours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning Saturday, May 3 and going through Sunday, October 26. Friday tours will be added to the schedule beginning May 23 (the Friday of Memorial Day weekend), and run through August 29 (the Friday of Labor Day weekend). Friday tours also will be held from
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

All dates and hours are subject to change due to various factors, including potential weather-related closures.

Visitor Center
Hours of operation for the Visitor Center will be the same as the Moser Tower & Millennium Carillon hours. From within the Visitor Center (formerly known as Netzley House), directly adjacent to the tower on its west side, visitors will learn about the Carillon and area history, including the Riverwalk's creation and Centennial Beach through interactive exhibits. Patrons also will see the practice clavier and view a six-minute video highlighting "three gifts" to the community of Naperville.
