Closures and Hours of Operations for 2017 Last Fling and Labor Day Weekend

Beginning Wednesday, August 30, the Jaycees’ Last Fling will require the closing of parking lots and streets at and near the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center and Park District Administration Building.

The parking lots for the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center (at 305 W. Jackson Ave.) and the Park District Administration Building (320 W. Jackson Ave.) will close at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30 and will remain closed through Monday, September 4.

Park District hours of operation surrounding the Labor Day Holiday and Last Fling event are as follows:

·                     Fort Hill Activity Center – Open Fri. Sept. 1-Sun., Sept. 3 with regular operating hours. Labor Day holiday hours are 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Mon., Sept. 4. Please note that there will be no open gym from Sept. 1-4 due to the scheduled refinishing of the gym floor.

·                     Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center – Closed Wed, Aug. 30-Mon., Sept. 4.

·                     Administration Building– Please note that the Administration Building no longer accepts program registrations and facility rental applications. The Administration Building will close at 3:00 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 1 and remain closed through Mon., Sept. 4.

·                     95th St. Center – Open Aug. 28-Sept. 1 with an early closing at 3:00 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 1. Closed Sat., Sept. 2-Mon., Sept. 4.

·                     Knoch Knolls Nature Center – Open with regular operating hours Fri., Sept. 1-Sun., Sept. 3. Closed Mon., Sept. 4.

·                     Riverwalk Café – Open with regular operating hours (11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. daily).

·                     Paddleboat Quarry – Open on Sat., Sept. 2, Sun., Sept. 3, and Mon. Sept. 4 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

·                     Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses – Open with regular operating hours.

·                     Sportsman’s Trapshooting Range– Open with regular operating hours on Thurs., Sept. 1 and Sun., Sept.3.

·                     Centennial Beachwill maintain the following end-of-season hours:

·         Saturday, Sept. 2

o   9:00 a.m.-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float

o   11:00 a.m.-dusk – Open Swim

·         Sunday, Sept. 3

o   9:00 a.m.-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float

o   11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Open Swim

·          Monday, Sept. 4

o   11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. – Open Swim
