Brad Wilson Named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary Club of Naperville Downtown
At their tenth anniversary dinner on Feb. 22, the Rotary Club of Naperville Downtown named the Park District’s Director of Recreation Brad Wilson a Paul Harris Fellow.
According to the Rotary Club’s website, individual Rotary clubs may award Paul Harris fellowships to individuals who meet high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary. The other five Paul Harris Fellows from the community honored on Feb. 22 include Bryan Ogg, Pat Bowler, Jane DiGiovine, Tom Jordan, and Tim Johnson.
Brad Wilson has been with the Naperville Park District for 18 years, beginning as an intern, then a program manager and now directing the growing department of recreation, which includes administration of more than 1,500 programs and multiple facilities including the new Fort Hill Activity Center. Wilson also works with many community partners, including School Districts 203 and 204, athletic affiliates and interest groups to bring quality recreation to the community.
“This is a well deserved award for someone who is a leader in the park and recreation industry,” said Naperville Park District Executive Director Ray McGury. “I'm so fortunate to have someone of Brad's caliber on our team, as is our community.”
