Santa House (December 1-23)

Take a magical trip to visit Santa on the Naperville Riverwalk at Jackson Avenue and Webster Street. Admission is free. Photos can be purchased for $8 each or two for $15. Don't miss this unique opportunity to visit Santa this year! Learn more

 
Group Santa Celebration (December 1-16)

Here's a fun, easy way for your special group, team, neighborhood or large family gathering to celebrate with Santa. How about a one and a half hour private party with Santa that includes a craft, games, snacks and a gift from Santa for each child. Santa, of course, will make an appearance. Don't forget your camera! Up to ten additional guests may register for a fee of $10 per child. Sign up

 
Holiday Chefs (December 3,10,12)

Kids won't want to miss this yummy class where they'll create delectable foods and desserts with wonderful smelling ingredients including pumpkin, cinnamon, gingerbread and more! Each class has a different holiday theme, so come to all three! Sign up

 
Polar Express (December 4,13)

Take an imaginary ride on our Polar Express and experience this beloved tale through a variety of themed activities. Create a special project, enjoy a magical snack and play games. Children are welcome to bring their favorite teddy bear to share in the experience. A copy of The Polar Express book will be given to each child. Sign up

 
Sugar and Spice (December 11)

It's time to make some treats from recipes straight from the North Pole! Kids will decorate, bake and taste these yummy holiday favorites. Recipes will be sent home. Sign up

 
Candy Cane Lane (December 14)

Have lots of family holiday fun at this most wonderful time of the year! The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center will be filled with holiday activities and entertainment including crafts, games, storytelling, face painting and more designed to entertain little ones. Events run simultaneously throughout the building. Please stop at the main floor check-in upon arrival. Register children only; siblings under two are welcome free of charge. Sign up

 
Breakfast With Your Elf (December 17)

Make breakfast for your Elf on the Shelf! Parents and children will make a breakfast to enjoy together and they'll make a pint-sized one to take home for their elf! Enjoy reading the Elf on the Shelf story, enjoy breakfast together and create an elf-sized craft. Sign up

 
Gingerbread House Decorating (December 18)

Enjoy cocoa, cookies and festive holiday music while you spend quality time with your children decorating your own gingerbread house! Cardboard frame gingerbread houses and all candy decorations will be provided. One house per family. Sign up

 
Junior Elves Workshop (December 19)

Parents and children will enjoy some holiday fun while making memorable projects to give as gifts or decorate the tree. A holiday keepsake photo and a fun snack will be provided.

Holiday Parents' Night Out (December 20)

Need a few hours to get your last minute shopping done? Drop your child off at the Barn Recreation Center for an evening of safe, holiday fun while you get your errands done. Activities are held throughout the building, ending with a holiday movie on the big screen on the Main Floor. Children are welcome to bring pillows, blankets and stuffed animals to cuddle with during the movie. Dinner is provided. Sign up

 
Radio City Christmas Spectacular Day Trip (December 19,21)

Akoo Theatre (formerly Rosemont Theatre) The Rockettes are back in Chicago with America's #1 holiday production! You'll be amazed and entertained by this fantastic Broadway-style production. Numbers like 'Sleighride' and 'I'm Here' had Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune hailing the choreography as 'brilliantly inventive, counterintuitive and evocative of the show's 1930s roots'. Sign up
