(We need time for set up and clean up in between groups, please.)The Park District provides hot chocolate, hot apple cider, cups and napkins. The coordinator will also make a bonfire for the group. Participants are welcome to bring their own food (i.e., hot dogs, s’mores, etc.) You can bring your own crock pot for food. You will need to bring your own stick/skewer for roasting. Youth groups must provide adult supervision on a 1:10 ratio. The hayrack will continually take out participants, average 30-35 people at a time (the size of the people dictates the room on the hayrack). The average route is about a 15-20 minute hayride running along the cross-country ski trails. For groups over 30 people, there is an additional charge of $5 per participant . The additional fee will be collected by the hayride coordinator the Tuesday following the hayride. Children two years of age and under are free. If a group needs to cancel their date for some reason, they will need to notify the Park District 21 days in advance at 630-848-5000. We run the hayrides rain or shine! You can always check for last minute cancellations due to severe weather by clicking here.
