Handicap

A “golf handicap” provides golfers with an ongoing way to evaluate their golf game. The use of a handicap can help players of all abilities compete without penalizing the better or worse golfer. With all that said, the handicap is an evaluation of a player’s golfing potential. Handicaps only work when players input the scores that they shoot, regardless if the score was good or bad.

2008 will be the sixth year using Golfnet as our handicap program.  During our first five seasons we were very happy with the ease of use and lack of minor glitches to the system. Handicap computer down time was a fraction of what it has been in the past. Members that used the internet to post scores found the system useful in record numbers. Internet posting by our members continues to be ranked nationally with Golfnet.

Members will receive the same local number they had in 2007 when they re-new their handicap membership for 2008. Regular members will pay $30.00, whereas Senior members will pay $20.00 and Junior members $15.00. The Golf Staff is very proud to offer an outstanding service to our members at a great price!

Internet posting of handicap scores and information is available using the (member) local number and the golf course password of “brooks”
. All internet posting can be done using the link provided below. All inquires to the handicap system can be directed to Mike Lyzun (Springbrook) and Dick Barr(Naperbrook).
