Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment



Pack a lunch, bring sunglasses and an umbrella, then join the fun.  You will be treated to a variety of exciting performances, you may even become part of the act.  Performances are geared to the young and young at heart.  All shows begin at noon and last approximately 45 minutes.

June 17- Patti Ecker

Award-winning Chicagoland children’s performer Patti Ecker has lots of interactive stories and songs to share with you! Get ready to hear toe-tapping, hand clapping, shout-out-loud guitar and banjo tunes. Patti will also include some of her favorite silly stories.

June 24- Ice Cream Vendors

The Ice Cream Vendors are the best in family friendly music and entertainment in Chicagoland! The original tunes, energy, and antics of long-time pals Jon & Greg get the kids hopping! Fans young and old don their paper hats and wear other people’s glasses as they interact to the catchy lyrics, melodic rock and funny collection of geeked-out songs.

July 8- Ken Schultz
Location: Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in Centennial Park 500 W. Jackson Avenue

A “mini-circus” variety show for kids of all ages.  Ken Schultz has been performing for 10 years across the United States and Canada. He has personally entertained over half a million people in live performances. The creative way The Flying Fool uses audience participation creates a unique bond between the performer and the children. Ken uses his elastic, comedic face to paint a permanent smile on the faces of everyone!

The Naperville Park District Élan Dance Company will perform at 11:30 a.m.

July 15- Circus Boy

With over 25 years experience entertaining and astonishing audiences of all ages, Circus Boy Bobby Hunt is one of America’s most unique and popular variety performers. He has appeared onstage with such high profile acts as Weird Al Yankovic, The Beach Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Smothers Brothers and The Righteous Brothers.  Bobby’s unique talents and unusual family of Circus perfumers we’re featured on an episode of television’s Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, and Bobby was a featured performer with the world famous Ringling Bros Circus, traveling the globe and entertaining audiences from all walks of live with his unforgettable brand of stunts and physical comedy.

July 22- Mike Mauthe

He juggles. He performs dazzling magic. He creates fantastic balloon sculptures. And he rides a unicycle. Mike Mauthe does all that and more! Mike is one of the most versatile variety performers and finest children’s entertainers around. Mike delights audiences of all ages with his magic and juggling skills, which will find him tossing everything from razor sharp sickles to a bowling ball and rubber chicken.

July 29- Istvan & His Imaginary Band

When Istvan starts rocking kids can’t help but join in, sometimes on stage, while their moms and dads cheer them on and enjoy the original tunes, an irresistible mix of interactive rock ‘n’ roll, country, pop punk and sing-alongs that get heads bobbing.  Istvan started penning children’s tunes after the birth of his daughter, Evie — who often accompanies him on stage.
