Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown has been a Naperville resident since 1992. He was elected to the park board in 2005. Though he arrived in Naperville as a result of a job transfer, Brown quickly warmed to both the city of Naperville and its park district. Brown feels that the Naperville Park District is an integral part of this family oriented community, an aspect that is very important to him as a father and grandfather.

Brown was driven to run for the park board by a deep sense that he could help the park district move forward after some of its recent challenges. Volunteerism, though, is nothing new to Brown. He formerly volunteered his time at the Community Career Center and currently spends his time working with Public Action to Deliver Shelter. Both he and his wife have been active parts in every community they have lived in. They strive to help create a community that is supportive to families like theirs.
